What do you see? PDF Print E-mail
By K. Proctor

The author asks herself: "...how do I see every person I meet? Do I see the good and true or do I accept something less?

In my morning spiritual routine, which includes reading and prayer, I came across an idea that triggered this blog post. The quote was this: "Man's genuine selfhood is recognizable only in what is good and true. Man is neither self-made not made by mortals. God created man." (From Science and Health by M.B. Eddy )

This triggered in my thought how do I see every person I meet? Do I see the good and true or do I accept something less?

Basically I can see mankind just as God does (in a way) and that is by seeing the real deal. What is that real deal? Well this statement tells you - it is in seeing the expression of life that is good and true - that is real, honest, kind, thoughtful, etc.

And think of how different your life would be if you viewed all mankind from this more spiritual foundation, as God made mankind instead of in the limited way that we see in business and on the news every darn day. I think it would transform each of us and the universe. And the author I quoted above seems to say the same in her book. The power of Truth is awesome, the power of Spirit is awesome.

So I head out today to see more of the reality that God made and less of the material judgments, criticism and such. Even when I go see my dentist later today which I'm completely dreading - I can see more of what God made in him and "see" (what I accept in my thought) less of someone who seems oblivious to my discomfort.
