I've been attending weekly networking sessions where you meet other business people and learn more about them so you can send them referrals and they can send business your way too.
A portion of the meeting is devoted to gratitude - well that is how I see it. Thanking someone for supporting you in some way (i.e. sending you a customer). People give testimonials about each other too. This makes think of the value of gratitude.
I love the writings of a great woman named MB Eddy she lived in late 1800s and had profound ideas on Spirit and your relationship to it (check out one of her books here). She wrote "Are we really grateful for the good already received? Then we shall avail ourselves of the blessings we have and thus be fitted to receive more."
Think about this. Being grateful actually is an important part of your life and your business. When are grateful we are giving credit to good, to Spirit and are so grateful that we are open to finding our next activity and receive more good into our lives.
This thought dawned on me today and has helped me to be grateful even in the face of what seems like a lean time for business. I have 1 client on hold and 2 I'm hoping to start with soon but they haven't signed a contract yet. But you know what, I'm going to be grateful for them and for other opportunities I have to grow my business and be ready for more good in my business and life.
Thanks Spirit, as always you are good business partner. Read more by this writer on the Spirit and Entrepreneurship blog
