Getting above limitations brings infinite values into focus.
How do you define success? When do you tell yourself that you have “done well?” I was praying recently about my business and praying about what my next steps should be. I realized I was defining my success in very narrow ways. And I was allowing myself to be happy only when I meet those narrow parameters.
When I thought more about how Spirit creates and defines life I realized that it does not include limitation. Spirit is unlimited – infinite in nature and the source of all life and abundance. On the other hand, things material and mortal are defined in a limited or restricted sense. Any why spend time focused on the limited view?
Changing my thought to what Spirit has made and given me changes my whole focus. Awakening my thought to a focus on other bigger and broader ways success can be seen and defined has been a blessing for me. And bigger definitions of where and how I find joy and satisfaction go hand in hand with that model of success (yeah!).
Truly I realized that I needed to stop viewing my success via very narrow parameters and open my thought to the abundance of goodness that I have and to be grateful for all the progress and success I have experienced.
With Spirit or God being the source of my being – I can live with an expectation and expression of abundance. What it requires of me is a change of thought and a willingness to understand more of how God defines my life. I am willing to do that – it is a constant goal of mine – to understand more and more about God in new ways – to expand how I view Her.
So I am able to see the bigger ways I’ve been successful – measures beyond the money and number of clients, and see the breadth of what I’ve accomplished in the last year. How I’ve grown spiritually, contributed to my clients and contributed via volunteer projects - in important and valuable ways.
I can continue to see my work as God’s expression instead of just viewing myself in limited ways (as a new small business owner). This new view has been a great source of inspiration and unburdens me from limited thinking to see new and higher views. I am so grateful. Read more from this blogger at Spirit and Entrepreneurship.
