ISAW Awards -- Share your thoughts! - 2006/10/31 18:01 Hello friends! Laura Matthews here, returning from the International Spirit At Work Awards this weekend. I met so many amazing people and learned so much. I'd like to invite everyone to put their thoughts here -- what did you get out of the conference? What did it mean for your spiritual journey, and how did it affect your perspective on Spirit at work?

Much love,
Laura

Re:ISAW Awards -- Share your thoughts! - 2006/10/31 18:26 The conference was so inspiring. Just within a few days I've told so many people about the inspirational ideas about employing spiritual values at work. And the 4 companies that won International Spirit at work awards I've been telling others non-stop.

What an awesome event and community. I can't wait to keep brainstorming on practical spirituality integration into workplaces. I love it all.

I will invite many more people to next year's event. And will send around my ideas when I get to blogging about them. I'll post them here too.

Thanks to everyone.

Re:ISAW Awards -- Share your thoughts! - 2006/11/01 22:58 Hi Laura. It was a pleasure to meet you and Kim at the Garrison Institute. Thank you for providing this forum for us to share our reflections. For me, I went away from the International Spirit at Work Awards Conference feeling that, although imagining a bridge between the material and spiritual worlds provides a great analogy, our task is really about integrating these two worlds. We may start out as bridge builders, but then quickly seek out the common ground, expanding the areas of common ground as soon as we can. Philip Hellmich, representing 2006 honoree Search for Common Ground, described powerful examples that provided great inspiration to create the space for compassion, for us to see each other’s humanity, and treat conflict as opportunity. What a great example of spirit at work.
