lifting your spirits - 2006/08/30 16:36 I was just talking on the phone with a person I met at a networking event - she and I had things in common and have stayed in touch. We are now volunteering at the same place and we were talking about that.

We are often REALLY on the same page in terms of work and ideas and such. Which is very cool. And she just wrote me an email saying how much talking with me - someone who is supportive and on the same page - really turned her mood around for the whole day and she is really happy now.

That is so cool. Very few people say that but it's so true. The power of positive interaction, the power of true Love that is based in Spirit. It's awesome. I just wanted to share that. And ask if other people have stories like this they can post too.

Re:Love lifts spirits and saves the day - 2006/09/01 08:52 When I worked at a Kinko's I met people all the time who needed a boost. One day a grandmother came in with 2 grandkids, gingerly carrying a towel and she was all upset. She had taken the kids out of school to spend a special day with grandma at the beach. While there the wind picked up her grandson's homework and deposited it in the water. By the time they got it out, it was in shreds. She had the pieces carefully wrapped in the towel. She unwrapped them and it did look pretty hopeless.

I didn't know if I could save the wet and tattered papers, but I knew I could save her drenched spirits, just by loving her. Her motive had been love. There was no reason for her to suffer. No need to make her fearful by discussing how hopeless this endeavor was. I was also careful not to call attention to ourselves because I didn't want others voicing their opinions about the futility of our success.

I got right to work piecing the papers back together. As I worked it turned out to be less hopeless that it originally looked. Only one small part of one sheet turned out to be missing. I then made a copy of the pieced together sheets. It really did turn out amazingly good. You would never suspect that they were in about 50 pieces.

Grandma was so pleased she called me an angel and suggested to her grandson that he write a paper for school entitled, "The day we met an angel at Kinko's". She took the new copies and the shreds with her to show his teacher what I had done.

That day, Love not only lifted her spirits but also saved her getting in trouble with the boy's mom, saved the boy's homework, and made Grandma's day. And it gave me this great story to tell. Pretty good day's work for Love, I'd say.

Re:Love lifts spirits and saves the day - 2006/10/13 12:45 The key solution to most problems is LOVE.I have a boss of mine who is so understanding and full of love towards me.He loves me in everything i do and i find my office work so interesting and enjoyable and this does not mean that i do not pass through trying periods.
I dont normally notice these trying periods simply because my boss encourages me whenever i am down or i have a very big workload and at the end of the day my spirit towards my job grows day by day.
