These guidelines are meant to create a safe, open community, rather than to restrict or hinder anyone's personal expression. Your ideas and inspiration are an important part of building and maintaining this community and we hope you'll feel free to share ideas about incorporating spirituality into your work life.

These forums are intended to be a supportive environment that respects the unique spiritual journey of all participants, and acknowledges the widely diverse ways spirituality can be employed at work.

Posting Criteria

All posts should:

- Support the mission of SpiritOnTheJob.com.
- Add value to the discussion by representing a sincere, selfless perspective.
- Be original. It's okay to quote someone else, but primarily say what you think in your own words.
- Be open and clear. Do not use jargon or specialized language that presumes knowledge of your background or agreement with your point of view.
- Be constructive, not critical. Responses should build on an idea instead of tearing it down.
- Be polite. Avoid extreme terms and sensational language, especially when disagreeing with someone.
- Respect the spiritual journey of others. Submissions criticizing another's belief system or viewpoint, or recruiting for a particular denomination or view, will be removed.
- Don't go commercial. Discussion board postings should not go too far in promoting a business or service. Use the Classifieds for that. Mentioning your affiliation within the context of a discussion is fine, however.

And now: The Rules

To support the spirit of the site, please extend common courtesy and respect the views of everyone participating in the discussions. You don't have to agree with all the views expressed, but the community does expect you to be considerate of all submissions.

- Submissions that malign, harass, degrade or threaten others or their beliefs will be deleted.
- Submissions that are disrespectful toward others on the basis of age, ability, gender, nationality, race, religion, or sexual orientation will be deleted.
- Submissions that aggressively attempt to proselytize a particular point of view are prohibited.
- Submissions promoting illegal activity, or that discuss illegal activities with the intent to commit them, will be excluded and reported to the proper authorities.
- Submissions of copyrighted material will remain posted only if submitted by the copyright owner.
- Submissions that disrupt a discussion, are off-topic or are seen as "spamming" will be deleted.
- Vulgar, obscene or indecent language, information or images will be deleted.
- Submissions containing a virus or other harmful component will be deleted.
- Submissions that impersonate other discussion board members are strictly prohibited.
